Why Do We Struggle in the First Place?

What if making a change isn't about doing more, but about understanding why you're struggling in the first place?"

I’ve been sitting with this question since I posted it.  Wondering, what does this mean?  Can I see where I was struggling in the first place?

So many of us are often thinking we just need to change this or fix that and then this will happen or things will get better.

Thinking about why we are struggling in the first place, well that kind of changes the thought process.  I know it did for me.

When I am struggling, my thought is always, well here I go again.  Wonder what the lesson is this time.  Didn’t I get the lesson right the last time?  Why am I here again?

Of course, there are a lot of sighs and I’m not going to lie, and swearing.  Seriously universe?

This can be about struggling in relationships, or trying to lose weight, or getting fitter, career, life or finances.  Are the patterns we have what we need to look at, or our mindset or what?

Trust me, I have struggled in all those areas.  I’m not even sure I can figure out why I struggle at things in the first place.  I’ve been looking at my patterns, and I am trying to see how and why I do things the way I do.  Paying attention to my mindset.

I will say it’s not an easy look.  At times I feel emotionally raw.  Uncomfortable.  Frustrated even.

Right now, accepting – this is where I am.  How can I approach the things I am struggling with now differently, so I don’t end up here again?

But understanding why we’re struggling in the first place?  Will we ever completely figure that out?

I would love to hear your thoughts, insights or comments on this.
